Smiling Gecko Cambodia (SGC) was officially registered in 2014 as a local non-profit NGO in Cambodia. It provides direct aid in the form of finance and other support to the needy in Cambodia, sponsoring projects that are sustainable both from an ecological and economic standpoint. We created a self-sufficient ecosystem for rural communities in Cambodia including Smiling Gecko Campus, Farmhouse Resort & Spa and The Gong.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and creative Sales and Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of events at The Gong, while also supporting event operations at Farmhouse Resort & Spa.
- Develop, plan, and manage event concepts for both internal and external audiences
- Develop and implement a sales strategy to attract bookings for events, retreats, private functions, and cultural programming.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with sponsors, corporate clients, event planners, and artists.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in coordination with the Department Director.
- Collaborate advanced detailed information of at least an hour for all the incoming guests from Farmhouse Resort and Spa, Special guests and recordings.
- Receive and welcome guests at The Gong, ensuring they are guided and informed throughout their visit.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with relevant departments to ensure seamless coordination for each event.
- Create and deliver weekly reports to the Department Director, highlighting upcoming events, guest information, key outcomes, and any challenges.
- Deliver exceptional guest service experiences for all visitors to The Gong and related venues.
- Enhance the visibility and reputation of The Gong as a leading cultural hub.
- Ensure events reflect the mission and values of Smiling Gecko Cambodia, especially in promoting sustainability, education, and community empowerment.
- Report to the Gong Manager weekly for an update
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Gong Manager
